It all began with a coffee table. We had just moved to Los Angeles to complete our design education & we could not bare to have store bought pieces in our space. That first table was a head scratching experiment in bent plywood & torsion box construction with veneer. While the finished piece was not what we would consider B+B quality today, it did ignite an unyielding passion for quality & craftsmanship. As designers, the most joyful sense of accomplishment is to physically produce something new. In this way our work becomes an artifact that we own. Every piece becomes evidence of the toil & struggle required to put something new into the world. Our passion for making drives us to create each new prototype ourselves & ultimately ingrain each new piece with a sense of soul.
